Muizz Administration

Leadership

​

The President is the the high representative of members of the College. The President is, thus, the third among three top leaders of the College, after the Principal and the Assistant Manager. He is assisted by the whole MRC (or the Majlis of Mahallah), mainly the Vice President.

 

However, the College witnessed significant changes in the top leadership of Muizz Administration, including the appointment of Secretary to the President (with vice presidential rank) in February 2015, and appointment of two Vice Presidents (instead of one) in May 2016. At the end of Muizz Administration, President Muizz had been assisted by five Vice Presidents and four Presidential Secretaries.

Vice President Saifullah

​

Br. A. B. M. Saifullah (Vice President Saifullah) was born in 1992 and came from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was the first Vice President of MRC under Muizz Administration. He served the office from February to September 2015 and was duly replaced by Vice President Firdaus (who was Secretary during his vice presidency).

 

Vice President Saifullah, prior to coming to Malaysia in 2013, attended several schools in Dhaka and Chittagong. He currently reads Economics at Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences. During his studies, he committed himself to research and international development.

 

He is married to a Bangladeshi woman studied in the United States, and has one child.

Vice President Firdaus

​

Br. Muhammad Firdaus bin Zainol (Vice President Firdaus) was the second person to be Vice President of MRC as-Siddiq under Muizz Administration. He was born in 1994 and comes from Alor Setar, Kedah.

 

He joined IIUM in June 2012 for 18-month Foundation in English for International Communication (ENCOM) programme, and in February 2014 as an undergraduate student of the then newly-established Kulliyyah of Languages and Management (KLM), where he reads ENCOM until present day. Prior to joining IIUM, he studied at Sekolah Menengah Agama al-Nahdzah in Kota Sarang Semut, Kedah.

 

He was admitted to MRC by the University on 2 February 2015 as an ordinary member and, after days, as Secretary. Following the second reshuffling done by President Muizz, he was promoted as Vice President in September 2015, replacing Vice President Saifullah. He was, concurrently with his vice presidency, the founding Head of Entrepreneurship of KLM Students’ Society.

Vice President Afiq Afifi

​

Br. Wan Afiq Afifi bin W. Azhar Lotfi (Vice President Afiq) is an undergraduate student of Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, and reads Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh since February 2013. He was born in 1992 and is originated from Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu. 

​

Prior to joining IIUM in 2011, he was a student of Maahad Tahfiz al-Quran wa al-Qiraat Pulai Chondong in Machang, Kelantan. He entered MRC on 9 December 2015 and became the third Vice President in Muizz Administration on the same day and until 30 September 2016. In September 2015, exactly days before leaving the vice presidency, he was appointed as the Chief Nuqaba' of Usrah Mahallah for a term ending February 2017. 

​

One of key contributions he has made during and after Muizz Administration has been Usrah Mahallah reform. He is one of initiators of Usrah Mahallah reform and, following such reform, one of founders of the Council of Nuqaba' and Naqibaat of Usrah Mahallah and of Usrah Mahallah Secretariat. 

​

He was awarded As-Siddiq Gold Medal on 1 February 2017 in commemoration of his service to Mahallah and the University, especially in Islamic development. 

​

He is currently serving Majlis Dakwah Negara as Dewan Siswa Coordinator. Previously, he attended industrial training at RHB Islamic Bank in Kuala Lumpur. 

President Bukhari

​

Br. Bukhari bin Isahak (President Bukhari) (born in 1994, and originated from Georgetown, Penang) is the leader of the present Bukhari Administration and so the incumbent President of the Majlis of Mahallah as-Siddiq, IIUM. He is also Deputy Secretary of the Board of Mahallah as-Siddiq since April 2017.

President Bukhari was the fourth Vice President in Muizz Administration. He served the office from 6 May 2016 to 1 February 2017, alongside with Vice President Afiq and, then, Vice President Daniali. He succeeded President Muizz and started Bukhari Administration on the following day. His presidency, however, obtained the Deputy Rector's confirmation five days later.

​

Instead of bring President of the Majlis of Mahallah as-Siddiq, he is currently serving as Chair-occupant of the Council of Nuqaba' and Naqibaat of Usrah Mahallah (Nuqaba' Council).

 

Prior to his presidency and vice presidency, he served the College as a member of MRC and, consequent to his admission to MRC, Head of Islamic Affairs since 17 December 2015. From February to September 2016, the Principal made him the Chief Nuqaba’ of Usrah Mahallah, making him the second person to lead the drive of Usrah in the College.

 

Throughout his service to Mahallah and the University, President Bukhari has made significant contributions, especially in diplomacy and organisational leadership. He has been also one of initiators of Usrah Mahallah reform and, following such reform, one of founders of Nuqaba' Council and Usrah Mahallah Secretariat. He was awarded with As-Siddiq Gold Medal on 1 February 2017 in commemoration of his service.

 

President Bukhari joined IIUM in June 2012 for Foundation in Engineering and Computer Science programme and, then, in September 2014 as an undergraduate student of Kulliyyah of Engineering, majoring in Material Engineering.

 

Prior to his admission to IIUM, he pursued his secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama al-Mashoor (Lelaki) in Penang.

Vice President Daniali

​

Br. Ammar Daniali bin Ahmad Azlan (Vice President Daniali) was born in 1994 and comes from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was the fifth (and the last) Vice President appointed under Muizz Administration.

 

He served the vice presidency from 1 October 2016 to 1 February 2017 alongside with the then-Vice President Bukhari. He retains his vice presidency at the start of Bukhari Administration on the following day. He is also a Financial Controller of IIUM Silat Cekak Ustaz Hanafi Club, the position he has taken since the fourth quarter of 2015.

 

He was also the second person to serve the office of Secretary to the President from February to September 2016. As such, he has made numerous significant contributions to Mahallah and the University, particularly in Usrah Mahallah reform and transformation of management. He was consequently presented with As-Siddiq Gold Medal on 1 February 2017 in commemoration of his service to Mahallah and the University.

 

Vice President Daniali was admitted to IIUM in June 2012 as a Foundation in Engineering and Computer Science student. He became an undergraduate student of the same in September 2014 and reads Mechatronic Engineering since. Prior to becoming a part of IIUM, he studied at Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Tun Abdul Razak, Pekan, Pahang.

 

He was admitted to MRC by the University on 9 December 2015 and, consequent to such admission, became Head of Art and Culture.

Secretary Afiq Haikal

​

Br. Afiq Haikal bin Ahmad Jamal (Secretary Afiq) (born in 1994, and originated from Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia) was the first person to be honoured in the College as Secretary to the President. He served the office since mid-February 2015, and until his appointment as the Treasurer on 17 December 2015. 

​

Prior to the creation of such office, he was admitted to MRC as Head of Education. He was, for sometimes during the first Muizz Administration, Head of Sport and Recreation. One of key contributions he made throughout his service to Mahallah and the University has been rejuvenation of inter-campus relationship in April 2015.

​

Following his contributions to Mahallah and the University, he was awarded with As-Siddiq Silver Medal on 1 February 2017, and As-Siddiq Gold Medal on 6 December 2015.

​

Secretary Afiq Haikal was admitted to IIUM in June 2012 for Foundation in Engineering and Computer Science programme. He became an undergraduate student of the same in September 2014. Since then, he reads Material Engineering. Prior to his admission to IIUM, he studied at Sekolah Menengah Sains Tun Syed Sheh Shahabudin in Penang. 

Secretary Azrul Azrai

Br. Azrul Azrai bin Jamaluddin (Secretary Azrul) was the last person appointed as Secretary to President Muizz. He was born in 1994 and comes from Kluang, Johor. Since 1 October 2016, and under both Muizz and Bukhari Administrations, he has been the Head of Economics and International Relations of the Majlis of Mahallah as-Siddiq.

​

Prior to joining IIUM in June 2012 for two-year Foundation in ICT programme, he studied at Sekolah Menengah Sains Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. He became an undergraduate student of Kulliyyah of ICT in September 2014 and read Information Technology since.

​

Secretary Azrul was admitted to MRC on 18 September 2016 after serving one successful term of office at ICT Students’ Society as the Assistant Head of Welfare and Community Service. Approximately after one month, and until the end of Muizz Administration, he took up the function of Secretary to the President.

​

Following his contributions to Mahallah, Kulliyyah and the University, he was bestowed with As-Siddiq Silver Medal on 1 February 2017.

Secretary Anas

​

Br. Ahmad Anas bin Husni (Secretary Anas) (born in 1994) comes from Kuala Selangor, Selangor. Prior to joining IIUM in June 2012, he studied at Sekolah Menengah Sains Kuala Selangor near his home. He is currently reading Information Technology. 

​

He was admitted to the Majlis of Mahallah as-Siddiq on 29 September 2016 and became Secretary to the President and Head of Art and Culture on 1 October 2016. However, personal reasons have caused him to leave the Majlis in 15 days after his official appointment. 

​

Prior to joining the Majlis, and until present, he has served Selangor Muslim Students' Society (PEPIAS) as Executive Committee Member and Head of Media and Information. He has been also playing petanque for the University Mustang Team. 

Awang Abdul Muizz has ended his service as the President of IIUM as-Siddiq College on 1 February 2017.
